LED light bulbs are both efficient and reliable. They last longer and consume 10 to 20 times less carbon. Switching to LED is easy, except when an LED driver is needed, which is the case when you replace your old 12 V spotlights with new LED ones. But even this is no big deal and the planet is worth it. Remember: every little helps, particularly when millions of us do it together. When changing LED, I recommend you go for good quality bulbs from Phlllips for example: they last longer and are more reliable.
