All Things Small and Green: a portal for native afforestation as a means to offset carbon emission
“All Things Small and Green” is a charity that aims to make it simple for you to offset your carbon emissions by planting native trees.
We do so in partnership with Trees For Life, where we have set up groves to which you can add native trees.
So far, we have created groves for scientists (the Scientists’ Grove), for academics (the Academics’ Grove), for friends of All Things Small and Green (the Friends’ Grove). We have set up “Conference and Society Groves” where attendees and societies members can offset their carbon emissions caused by traveling to conferences or incurred during online conferencing. More recently, we have set up our first University grove, the UCL grove. Finally, we hope to create groves for scientists and academics abroad so that they can offset their carbon emissions by planting trees closer to home (see our “Groves Abroad” link here). If you would like us to set up a grove for you, your institution, or your favorite conference, just ask!
Excessive carbon emissions is the issue of our time. They are wreaking havoc on our climate, our natural environment and on humankind. So offset your carbon emissions by planting native trees.
