What type of information do we collect?
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Personal identifiers and contact details (for example, name, postal and email addresses).
How we get the information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you interact with us, for example, when you make a donation, subscribe to email updates or contact us for information.
We also receive personal information indirectly, when you interact with third parties with whom we work; for example, when you make a donation through our third party financial suppliers – Stripe and PayPal. These organisations have their own privacy policies which you should be aware of before donating.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis on which we rely for processing this information is your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us via the contact details above.
What we do with the information we have
We use the information that you have given us in order to deal with any queries about a donation, claim Gift Aid on your donation, if permitted, update you on the planting of any trees for which you have donated money and provide you with their GPS co-ordinates once planted, share information about our work and for fundraising purposes.
We are required to share your information with HMRC where you have agreed we can claim Gift Aid on your donation.
We will never sell or swap your information.
Retention of your information
We take steps to keep your information secure, accurate and up to date. We aim to protect your information but we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our website and transmission is at your risk.
We will keep your information for as long as you are actively involved with us. If you cease your involvement with us or request to receive no further contact, we will delete your information and retain only what is necessary for financial record keeping and for Gift Aid purposes and then only for as long as necessary.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
