A ROARING START
Since we launched mid October, we have raised enough funds to plant ~500 trees and have created 3 groves, one targeting Scientists (the “Scientists Grove”), one for friends (“Friends of All Things Small and Green grove”) and one for the wider academic communities (the “Academics Grove”). These groves provide a simple way for members of these communities and groups to offset their carbon emissions when travelling professionally or for leisure: just add trees to the groves! These are “their” groves and we hope members of these communities and groups will take ownership of them, to grow them into beautiful, biodiverse, native forests. And by so doing, removing a considerable amount of carbon from the atmosphere, leaving the planet in better health, and contributing to the fight against global warming.
