Fighting waste is the battle of our ages. Let’s first talk about food waste: do you know that UK households throw away 7.3 million tonnes of food every year, around 19% by weight of that purchased? Preventing food waste could save the average family £700 a year and deliver significant environmental benefits in terms of landfill avoidance and mitigating climate change.

And then, there are other types of waste: throwing away your mobile without recycling it or getting it repaired is one. Another common one is old furniture that could be donated away but instead end up in landfill.

Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser

For any washing liquids, purchase in bulk (thereby minimising plastic use) and dispense in a soap dispenser. This dispenser is in durable stainless steel and should last for ever, and, remember, stainless still is also entirely recyclable.
